Skirts are having a moment and this one is so beautiful. Not only is it pretty, it's very lightweight and partially lined, There are lots of colors to play with, so it will work with plenty of pieces in your closet. I also love the flat panel from the waist to the top of the hip as it's incredibly slimming.
Because the skirt is full, I paired it with a top that has a fitted bodice and an open neckline.
I'm wearing a small in the top and a 4 in the skirt, TTS.

Found: a 100% organic cotton shirred front midi dress that hugs your figure, yet conceals at the same time (thank you, ruching).
It comes in two colors and is just $59! Machine wash and tumble dry. True to size, I'm wearing a small.
With a dress this length, you'll look best in a shoe with a lower vamp, meaning much of the top of your foot is exposed. This gives the illusion of a longer leg.

If you don't own a slip skirt, today is the day. Even if you do, don't you just love this in a rich navy? This one can be worn now with tees, tanks, blouses and later with jackets and sweaters.
A skirt like this looks best tucked or belted, to emphasize a waistline. If tucking your shirt adds bulk at the tummy, consider something more fitted or tuck under your bra and drape.
Low vamp or minimalist sandals work best here. Later this will be great with boots and booties too. The skirt and top are both a size 4, TTS.

Rails does it again, giving us this little gem.
The elastic waist cinches, yet is comfortable. The flouncy skirt is comfortable and not too short (hooray).
This one feels cute, but not overly sweet. The colorful stripes allow you to play with your accessories, too. Neutrals work, of course, but color brings joy! True to size.

Feminine and classic, this blue floral printed skirt belts at the waist and looks just as incredible with a blouse and heels as it does with a tee and sneakers. With this full lady-like skirt, a fitted top works best. If you go with something looser, still give your top a little tuck. If you have long legs, a flat is nice. I'd love this with a block heel or wedge on my shorter clients. And yes, there are pockets.
I'm thinking of this for bridal showers, baptisms, and for work too, with a tucked in blouse or blazer.
I'm wearing a size 6 and it fits nicely. The brand says this is true to size but I didn't have my typical size 4 to compare. The top is a medium (a size up, but I think a small would have been just right). This one has some stretch.

Go beyond the cotton jeans and a basic tee with this flutter sleeve crewneck from Paige. The openwork details add a little something extra. TTS.
These jeans came home in my bag. They're awesome! These are thin and soft and move nicely, perfect for the hot days to come. They are really comfortable, 100% cotton. I'm wearing a 27, TTS. These are a little bit of an investment... but just think... later you can hem them into a cropped pant and then at some point make them into a short.
I'll wear these jeans with a wedge or some sort of higher block heel to give the illusion of longer legs. Wide leg full-length jeans can make a short woman look shorter, so be careful with the shoe choice!

This flirty dress is made for sunny days! Wear it on or off the shoulders. The neckline is adjustable to accomodate varying bustlines. There's a sultry little slit on the leg.
I love this now with a straw hat and sandals and would love it later with a cardigan and heeled or western boots.
I'm wearing a 4, TTS.

Give your blue denim a day off and grab these instead... a muscle tee and slim cargo pants for the win! My gosh, these pants are soft! I love the fit, the gathered ankles (all your shoes will work with it) and the backside is flattering too.
These are just the right shade of dark khaki and will look good with pinks, reds, navy, yellows. There are plenty more color styling options other than white, I promise.
I'm wearing a 4, TTS.

Romper lovers, rejoice... this one's a winner!
This one piece from Farm Rio is fun and cute yet still sophisticated. It's not too short, doesn't show too much skin.
All of that bold color-blocking means there's plenty of accessory color options too. You can wear it a different way every day of the month, if you wanted! I'm wearing a small, TTS.

These relaxed fit utility shorts are by Nordstrom and they are such great quality. There's cheap linen and good linen and this is the good stuff. I was pleasantly surprised that even though they are lightweight, a light color and un-lined, you can wear nude undies and no one can see them. Score! This longer length is trending, but also always in style, always classy.
Linen... either you love it or you hate it. I happen to love it. Once you get over the fact that they wrinkle and accept that it's perfectly fine and natural, you'll appreciate how light and airy it is.
I like mixing my clothing textures so I added this silky tank style, also by Nordstrom. Here, I tucked the bottom of the shirt into my bra band. This kept me from adding bulk to the front pleats, from seeing the bottom of the shirt through the shorts.
