Fluttering Into Fall with Frills
While in San Diego I visited Nordstrom Fashion Valley, looking for “buy now, wear later” pieces. This look was my first find. I’m attracted to Ulla Johnson’s designs and what a treat to finally find some pieces to try-on! I love a full sleeve but it’s not always flattering. Smocking around the waist draws in the fabric and is so flattering. I’d wear this Delmara printed ruffle midi dress now with my favorite sandal and in the fall with an ankle boot or a knee boot. I could also put a jacket or cardigan over this gorgeous dress to layer it for fall. Keep in mind it has to be either an oversize style or a heavier knit piece because of the puffy sleeve on the dress. Also, if you wear a boot it’ll need to hug the ankle to keep the leg and ankle looking slim.
