why i'm wearing it
When I was younger, I was a huge fan of the Boho aesthetic. Living in the country, that bohemian vibe is everywhere.
While I no longer wear the open-back styles and short mini-dresses, I still look to Free People when I want something fun, casual, somewhat youthful and maybe just a touch sexy.
I'll typically choose a flowy maxi skirt with a fitted tank. Sometimes I'll find a top that shows just enough shoulder, or a flowy romantic dresses perfect for wine-tasting in the mountains or a stroll on the beach. This is also the time of year for outdoor concerts and my clients want to wear something cute and flirty yet still "age-appropriate".
This time of year presents so many opportunities to put together a fun and feminine outfit... and pieces from Free People are perfect for doing just that!

how to wear it
Dresses like these are made for a hat... especially a braided straw.
Go with natural hair and light makeup, maybe some wire aviators and chunky or block-heeled sandals. Stay away from a stiletto though, it's too dainty for this linen maxi. A boot...yes, that would work too. If you're tall enough to pull it off, a flat strappy sandal would look great as well.
You could also layer on some necklaces and add a raffia bag.
