This past weekend I headed out on a little shopping adventure. I wanted to see what was new in stores for spring and worthy of sharing with you. I also was on the hunt to find a dress for a daytime wedding.
One of my favorite spots for dresses is Anthropologie. They always have a wonderful selection and this time was no different.

Now I get it when people say they want "arm coverage". Hello "mature skin". This dress has it, yet is still lightweight and spring-y! I have to warn you this green is almost gone now, but it does come in a pretty golden pattern too with a few more sizes. If you love it, grab it quickly!
I was drawn to that criss-crossed waist and floaty bottom, beautiful bold colors. I'm wearing a 4, true to size. Below is one way I would style it!
All those colors lets me wear fun shoes. I don't always like an ankle strap with a midi dress because it cuts the leg line, but this strap is so thin, it's subtle. Go for it. Add a neutral bag. Follow the neckline with your jewelry (a "v" shape).

You may have seen me try this beautiful blue red. That red is selling out fast, but there were a few black versions left so I styled the black for you!
This dress is so STRETCHY! It was heavy enough to conceal without Spanx, yet hugged my shape nicely! The lace-up bows and sweetheart neckline had me swooning! this little embellished bag adds a little color and could be used all four seasons and with jeans too.
The floral earrings are a best-seller and I felt the wrist could use a little adornment! Again, that ankle strap is slim so shouldn't interfere with the longer hem...such a pretty black sandal with a walk-able block heel!

This one seems to be a crowd favorite! It fit so beautifully and I was drawn to that shade of green. You could wear this casually too. If you feel a little soft and exposed, just throw on a denim jacket or a lightweight cardigan for comfort.
How about that bag? Dress up a t-shirt and jeans or wear her all fancy. The details are beautiful. Add some interest to the neckline and always I love hoops. I saw another metallic sandal I believe you'll like and just trust me on that perfume. It's another best-seller for good reason.

This is the pant I HAD to try on. I tried on the linen version and it was a bit too soft and stretchy and I didn't get a great pic so I'm letting the model show them off. EVERYONE loves this pant! I've seen it on so many clients of all shapes and sizes... so so nice.
The color of the pant looks black, but this is a pretty deep blue, a heavier cotton than that linen. They hug the hips (very flattering) then fall away from the bottom (a trouble area for some of us).
I included this gorgeous pleated top in my try-on (so pretty) and it would pair well with this pant! Floral earrings, a straw bag and brown slides that get rave reviews finish off this look I created! Oh, THIS wasn't for the wedding, just for fun!
