For most of us, shopping for jeans is almost as bad as shopping for bathing suits. Do they stretch and squeeze your thighs, leaving them looking lumpy? Is the waist too big, yet the thighs too tight? Does my rear look wide? Droopy? Why do my thighs look so big? Ugh the struggle is real.
It's been three years since I was first introduced to Fidelity Denim. A rep for the brand reached out to my stylist friends and I asking if we'd like to try Fidelity. The rest is history.
When I first tried a pair of Fidelity Denim and saw how my backside looked... I was extremely pleased with my derriere. I was hooked from there on out. Really everything about them are fabulous... the fit, fabric, and finish... perfect... love... love... love!
We met the founder of the company, Jason, and he told us Fidelity jeans are designed to be like a push-up bra for your butt. Ahhh, yes, they lift and hug in all the right places. It's premium denim, hand-crafted here in the US, that stretches (but snaps right back and won't stretch OUT). The brand's denim is also lightweight, oh so SOFT and breathable (thanks to Lyocell).
If you can't tell, I'm a big fan of Fidelity Denim and will be for many years to come. They really are my go-to. I've been introducing them to my personal style clients and to anyone else who is looking for that perfect fit.
Needless to say, I think you need at least one pair of Fidelity jeans hanging in your closet... and I'm not even being paid by the brand to say this... I just love them that much! I'm just trying to get the word out to as many fashion lovers as possible who are looking for a great fitting, rear-enhancing pair of jeans. P.S. They also make fabulous tops and jackets too!

a note on fading and wash

The pair on the left has excessive fading in the thighs and across the bum. Anything light-colored highlights an area, making it come forward, making it prominent, making it look bigger. I don't know about you... but I do NOT want my thighs to look bigger. I do not need my rear end magnified...no sir. Be mindful of super light fading in all the wrong places. Plus, jeans don't naturally fade like the pair on the left.
The pair on the right looks like a naturally worn-in pair of jeans, not drawing attention to any one place. Want a light wash pair? Cool, just make sure it's light all over!

Let's talk about whiskering. Whiskering is the lines you see going across the hip area. It's meant to mimic the fading of a lived-in pair of jeans that's faded from sitting, bending over the years. Be mindful of the whiskering.
The pair above looks like fish gills, am I right? The rest of the jeans are dark and these perfect lines look unnatural.
Whiskering brings attention to your hips, widens the hips. A little bit of whiskering is nice, but too much or too light....nah, leave them.
