Update Your Spring Wardrobe with these Three On Trend Tops from Express

Beautiful, on trend, and age-appropriate...

I thought my days of shopping at Express were over. That’s the truth. Oh boy, was I wrong.

I’ve been seeing Express tops and dresses while scrolling my Instagram feed… on women my age (I'm almost 49)... and they looked amazing! So, I decided to step inside Express for the first time in about twenty years. 

I must have taken around forty pieces into the dressing room… forty things I really liked. After trying everything on I took home ten pieces that I had to have. Below I'm sharing three of the tops I absolutely love that I know I'll be wearing on repeat this spring season.

Outfit Details: Floral Top | Chino Pant | Block Heel Sandal

I’m such a sucker for a pretty floral print. And the color on this one, love! The puff sleeves and the tie back on this floral puff sleeve top won my heart. Of course, I could wear this top with jeans but I wanted to try something a little dressier. So, I paired it with this ivory Chino from J.Crew along with a blush braided block heel sandal. 

Now, I know what you’re thinking… is it okay to show your tummy after a certain age? Well, if you’re okay with it then so am I!

I’m wearing a small in the top and a 27 in the pants. This is a size 7 in the sandal. All are true to size.

Outfit Details: Peplum Top | Crop Flare Jeans | Slide Sandal | Necklace

I’m always looking for new blouses. This satin pistachio green peplum top caught my eye. It's a gorgeous color and it looks way more expensive than it was. I find a crossover neckline and a peplum waist are super flattering. It works for just about everyone and it can conceal a little tummy too! I’d put a stitch in the front of this top to keep it closed or you could wear a pretty cami or something lacy underneath. 

I wore this top with crop flare jeans... my latest denim crush from Fidelity Denim... and a slide sandal from Dolce Vita. 

I’m wearing a small In the top, a 26 in the jeans, and a seven in the shoe. All are true to size.

Outfit Details: Smocked Top | Denim Skirt | Block Heel Sandal | Necklace

This floral smocked top is so pretty and feminine. You really must see it in person. Beautiful. It's cropped but when I pair it with something high-waisted it still works perfectly.

I cannot sing the praises of this denim skirt by Wash Lab Denim enough. I love the weight and the stretch of it and the fact that I don’t have to shave my legs when I wear it. I have been wearing mine for two years and it is still perfect and right on trend. And there are those braided sandals again!

I’m wearing a small in the top, a 26 in the skirt, if you are between sizes I would size down, and a 7 in the sandal.

P.S. Remember, if you ever tire of the length of the skirt, you can always shorten it.
