I styled three looks you can wear when it's still summer but fall temps show up...
Last week I had to wear a jacket in the morning to walk outside. This week, I was back to a tank top.
Here we are in that "you never know" weather stretch. I'm not ready to switch my closet over to fall but I need to prepare for the chill. With the transitioning of the seasons and the back and forth weather I'll be adding some layer to my summer outfits in the coming weeks.

I was looking for something new for a last minute winery date night. I found this pretty floral lightweight rayon maxi dress. The colors are perfect for now and later too. Wear it off the shoulder... or on. Whatever your preference, you'll look fabulous.
Add a cardigan, a blazer or my favorite, most-worn add-on... this soft stretchy denim jacket from Fidelity. The jacket is made with premium Italian denim, aged and hand distressed in LA. Love.

Don't let cropped denim baffle you. These cropped jeans, also from Fidelity. are in a gray wash and already have gotten lots of love. They are made of the same high quality Italian denim and hand distressed. Lyocell keeps them cool and flexible. I've worn them on ninety degree, hot and humid days here on East Coast and have been totally comfortable.
Keep on rocking the crops but add a bootie. The boot height should allow a peek of skin between the top of the boot and the pant hem OR the boot should go up and under the hem by about an inch. I love an ivory boot any time of year but it's especially perfect now when you're not quite ready for black heavy boots.
This corset-style top is a little daring... love it for date night. You can also tone down the sexy by pairing it with a contrasting bottom - like a loose-fitting jean or a feminine midi skirt. I also put it over a couple of my summer dresses for a skirt and top look. It's versatile and feminine.

From cropped denim to this straight leg, Fidelity fits me better than any other jean and I've tried every single pair!
This high-rise slim fit has a beautiful blue wash with fresh white stitching. Perfect pocket placement enhances the shape of my backside. You can still wear your sandals with your jeans by the way but it's time to add long sleeves. Yes, you can wear a sandal up until it's just too cold... as long as it's not a style that's too summer-specific like wedges, raffia or pastels.
That white stitching inspired me to grab this stretch denim motorcycle jacket I found last week at White House Black Market. I discovered it is an awesome addition to so many of my light summer dresses and looks fantastic with light to medium wash denim too.
