Ring in the new year instyle

I've been going into overtime on holiday dressing and I'm finishing up with these for the grand finale! One's short and sassy, one is a little sequin number and one is fitted and slinky.

When I shop I leave no stone unturned. I didn't have to turn any stones to see this piece from across the way. I tried on this skirt, not expecting much, honestly, because it was in the trendy " a little too affordable" section but I was judging too soon. I love it! It's not too short, not too tight, and "not too pricey for something you won't wear a lot". That being said, please do consider wearing your sequins with a tee shirt, or out to dinner year round. Let them look.

I almost didn't try it, but like I said "no stone un-turned". It's short... for me, that is. I fixed that "issue" by adding a fishnet stocking to keep the look sexy but conceal my less-than-perfect legs. Fishnets were all over NYFW and I've always loved them anyway.

To tone down the va-va-voom just a little, I grabbed a low-heeled ankle boot so the dress didn't seem as short. I am wearing the dress in a small, true to size. The way it's constructed leaves a little wiggle room in the tummy....whew. If it feels a bit too "open" in the front. put a little stitch in the v-neck or wear a bra with more coverage (bonus points if it's lacy) and let it peek out.

I added an "old" clutch and my new Hayden B hoops for simplicity.

I felt like a movie star in this number! I normally avoid jersey in solid colors because you cannot hide anything in jersey but this comfy dress is lined! It has a stretchy lining that held me all in perfectly. It has sleeves and shows just enough leg to add the fire, a deep V. This dress will impress. If you hurry, you can still get it in time for New Year's or save it for another special occasion. It's on sale for a limited time.

Now... that shoe... it's a heeled mule from fun designer Kurt Geiger. The crystal strap adds drama to the outfit and the low cut of the strap keeps the legline long. Do not wear hosiery with a heeled mule or slide, by the way, or your foot will slide around. Just a word of caution.
