I wasn’t going to dare try the Farmasi vivid eyeshadow palette because the colors are so bold. The vibrant tones intimidated me a little. Why? Well, being an older woman wearing bold, bright and heavy shadow can be aging.

But I was determined to find a way to soften up the bright colors. I decided to toss caution to the wind and went searching for inspiration. I found a look I felt worked using the “Magnificent Mauve” shade from the palette.

This limited edition bold palette of 18 shades intimidated me at first, but I gave it a try and I'm so glad I did. I love the look!
The final reveal turned out pretty. The color contrast makes my blue eyes pop and at the same time doesn’t overwhelm me or highlight my wrinkles! This look let me soften the bold tones and add a little sparkle without being too “loud” about it.
