One shacket styled four ways...
If you're not familiar with what a shacket is, it's a crossover between a shirt and jacket. It's a little oversized and looks like a shirt, but usually made from a heavier material. It also happens to be a perfect piece for unpredictable spring weather.
The Harriette Denim Shirt Jacket by Ética I'm wearing is definitely a stylish and versatile piece for the season. The wash, the fit, the ease and versatility …perfection.
In picture one above I'm wearing the shacket loose and easy like a jacket. In picture two I'm wearing my belt on the inside cinched around my waist. In picture three I'm wearing my belt over the shacket. And in picture four I tied the shacket at the waist.
To finish off the look I paired the denim shacket with a beautiful printed slipdress by AllSaints... the dark floral print camouflages bulges and works for all seasons. I kept the shoe a simple yet chic nude heeled slide from Steve Madden.
Loose and undone...
Leave it loose and undone while adding style to your dress and covering your arms.
Belt the dress beneath...
Belt the dress (or top) beneath the shirt to show off your shape, make your legs appear longer. Be sure to belt at the smallest part of your waist. Use a slim belt. I happen to love a braided belt because you can hook it anywhere you need to cinch, no belt holes.
Belt over the shacket...
Grab a hefty waist-cinching belt and pull it tight OVER your shirt “jacket”. Then blouse it out …as you just created a beautiful peplum shape. You’ve also concealed any tummy you might have.
Tie the shacket at waist...
Button the shacket and tie it up nice and high to keep your bottom half longer than your top... makes you appear to have longer legs and look taller.
