I styled three looks with pieces from Walmart that are sure to wow the crowd this Holiday season

Fun fact: I worked at Walmart when I was in my early twenties. I was also on a very tight budget and shopped there too. I must say, one of the benefits of learning how to stretch my dollars to buy the things I needed meant I had to be picky about everything I bought including clothes.

I definitely think that experience helped me to be able to help my personal style clients put a great outfit together on any budget. That's why when Walmart offered me a collaboration I was excited to do it! It gave me an opportunity to show you how you can style budget-friendly outfits that look great!

Some of my closest friends I met all those years ago working there and Walmart is a part of my story. That retail experience ultimately lead me to where I am today. I am grateful.

Now... let me get on with showing you some of the pieces I discovered in my local Walmart and on Walmart.com. The three looks I put together include dresses perfect for your low-key holiday get-togethers and beyond. I was so happy to find that every single piece I chose fit well and were stylish!

This midi sweater dress is a stunner! I slid it over my head and it clung where I wanted it and let go where I needed it to the most. It actually had some weight to it and was really soft. It felt great to put on. The twist detail at the bust is a nice touch too. I kept the jewelry simple, letting the neckline be the highlight. I paired the dress with a platform sandal that was sexy and comfortable. The toe box didn't pinch. There was also a little cushion on the insole. The dress comes in two colors. I'm wearing a small in the dress (sizes were selling out fast) and a 7 in the shoe. Both the dress and shoe are true to size.

I often wear sweatshirts and skirts together. I like the mix of sporty casual and dressy, in fact so much so my stylist friends call me Sporty Spice! This looks like two pieces but it's actually one piece made into a sweatshirt dress. You would never know looking at it. I'd wear this with a pump, a block heel, a stiletto knee, or ankle boot. Once the weather gets warmer I'd wear it with a sneaker too. I like to break up a blank open slate (like the top of this sweatshirt) with a longer pendant-style necklace to add some interest. You could even layer necklaces if you wanted to.

I'm always a little skeptical of sweater dresses because f some of the fabrics they're made with. My skin is super sensitive to wool or scratchy acrylics. But oh my, this adorable balloon sleeve dress made the cut. It comes in red and pink too along with the charcoal color I'm wearing I'm 5'4 and it was just long enough for my comfort to go bare-legged but I'd also wear this with nude or black fishnets or sheer black or gray hosiery. I love these Western-inspired ankle boots. They go perfect with this dress. I'd wear them with fitted denim and leggings too. Again, I'm breaking up that empty space with a pendant necklace. This trick of breaking up empty space happens to visually slim us too... and who doesn't like that?
