Western boots or western-INSPIRED boots have been a “thing” for a few seasons now. While I’ve always had a few pairs in the closet for country concerts, I wear them more often mixed in with my everyday outfits, taken up a fashionable notch.

Tuck your skinny jeans (it’s fine to wear skinnies, I swear) into a pair of boots and add a beautiful fluid blouse or maybe an oversized sweater, slightly tucked. Wear relaxed denim shorts and boots with a tank or tee right now while it’s warm, if you dare. The denim maxi that’s so hot right now gets even better when you add a western boot.

Today’s modern cowboy boot look is less plaid shirts and Lee jeans-and more silk blouses, oversized blazers and sophisticated dresses (hold the ruffles if you want to look extra cool).

Midi dresses/skirts and maxi dresses look great with western-inspired boots with a little heel. If you’re not sure about styling ankle boots and dresses, go with a full knee boot that hugs the leg and has a little heel. You can’t go wrong.

My favorite boot is the two-tone Ramson ankle boot. The Anina pointed toe boot boot is a more subtle western-inspired boot that’s really versatile. I was able to pair them with so many things during my anniversary try-ons. I really like the Wylde waterproof boot from Blondo too as a “smart buy” in the knee boot category. The Samare western boot is all-out cowboy style and gets an honorable mention from me.
