Banana Republic Try On
Oh my goodness, I had the best time shopping Banana Republic. Everything I tried on was a good fit and felt well made and stylish.
I ran out of time this round but I’m planning to go back and try all their new denim styles too, very soon.
Meanwhile, take a look below to see what I found!
P.S. For size guidance: I’m 5’4”, around 135lbs, and typically wear a small or 4/6.

What I'm wearing: Satin wide leg jumpsuit // Linen and leather belt
If you're a girl that loves a jumpsuit you need to check this one out.
Add a blazer or a denim jacket or wear something underneath of it… depending on the look you’re going for. This one is a somewhat heavyweight satin crepe fabric that drapes so luxuriously. It whispers “sophisticated”.
It is a wide leg ankle length style with a v-neck, perfect for adding necklaces if you like. The straps are adjustable for the perfect fit. It has pockets!
What I'm wearing: Silk resort shirt // Silk tank // Sequin midi skirt
This sequined skirt is actually what I went in for, looking for something for a party. I’ll tell you in advance that it is final sale. I included it because it was just such an easy perfect fit. I bought the small and it fit right off the rack. It's fully stocked and you cannot beat this price.
The skirt would be so good for all seasons, for the holidays, for a date night. You can dress this up or you can wear a simple cotton tee. There is a matching sequin sleeveless top also on sale (not final sale) and I also love it with a minimalist silk blouse or tank or an ivory cashmere sweater.
Oh… and whites look gorgeous with it too! If you try the silk button-up blouse I’m sharing, size down.
What I'm wearing: Crinkle halter top // Crinkle maxi skirt // Linen and leather belt
This two piece crinkle fabric set will be a go-to! The pieces look fantastic together with the top tucked in or left out and looks great with a belt. Wear the skirt with your favorite tee and the halter with your shorts and jeans. It’s still summer and this is a classic that you can pull out next year too.
Going somewhere warm? This was made to go along with you. Plus, it’s already crinkled so you don’t have to worry about wrinkles, travels well, machine washable. When it gets a little cooler add a denim jacket or a blazer, perhaps a sweater tied around your shoulders. I’d suggest a pointed toe knee boot or a moto boot if you’re edgy like that.
I’m wearing a small, size regular. It does come in tall and petite too.
What I'm wearing: Cropped polo // Button-down shirt // Pleated wide leg pant // Linen and leather belt
I’m always on the hunt for pants that fit well in modern styles. These pleated wide legs are fabulous and selling out fast! I saw them as soon as I walked through the doors. That color - LOVE!
There are several top styles that come in that Seaweed Green shade and it looks so good head to toe. With a relaxed style like this, I prefer a tailored or fitted top. These also look great with black, with ivory and whites, stripes or shades of tan. The pleats will give you extra room across the hips and tummy. The seat hugged nicely without being tight and this IS the style everyone’s wearing. Belt them or don’t. They look great either way. I added a block heel sandal as a styling option because I love the fact that the heel of the shoe is closed, so you don’t have to worry about your pant leg getting stuck under the bottom of your foot as you’re walking. A scarf would add some interest to a solid neutral outfit. You could put it around your neck or around your handbag. These felt so good on. I’m wearing a four regular.
The pants are almost sold out in petite. If you order online you can take them into a local Banana Republic and they'll do alterations on site.
