Stress-free staycation looks that will have you hitting your hometown instyle...
My style friends from the Nordstrom6 and I were recently talking about how fashion is so different depending on where you live in the States. Since we all live around the country in separate cities from one another we thought it would be fun to highlight the styles that we each wear around our hometowns.
It just so happened I had a staycation planned so it was the perfect time to share with you a glimpse of some of my outfits that I wore while visiting some of the local spots close to my home. When I do get to take some time off I like to stroll my town and support the local businesses.
What's nice about where I live, it's kind of out in the country, is that it's pretty laid back and casual most of the time. So, if you like any of my looks and live in an area similar to mine you'll get a lot of wear out of them.

My little Main Street has three coffee shops, all have outdoor seating where it’s nice to sit and read a book or get a little work done. I stopped at one of them, American Ice Company, to relax and refuel.
When I’m not dashing in a hurry to grab a latte (extra shot of espresso please) after my morning sweat session dressed in workout apparel, then I’m wearing something comfortable like these soft jeans from my favorite denim brand, Fidelity Denim, along with a basic tee, a little ballet flat or sneaker and a fedora.

What's nice about living in the country is I can drive a few miles in any direction and find a farmer's market or roadside produce stand. Baughers Orchard is one I go to a bunch. They have all the fresh fruits and veggies you can ask for. I love to cook with fresh-picked, locally-grown ingredients so it’s a favorite spot.
It was in the 90s earlier this week so I wore my new white cropped denim, another pair from Fidelity Denim, along with a ruffle sleeve top and heeled sandal.

Five minutes from my home is an adorable boutique, Kelly + Co. My friend and owner, Kelly, features modern farmhouse decor, restored furniture, candles, pillows, and much more. There are so many amazing pieces to choose from to create a beautiful space in your home.
I was itching to wear my new pin-striped flares and finally put a look together with them. I paired the pants with a knit tank and an ivory heeled ankle boot. I added a pop of color with the cutest pink leather bag. It was perfect for breaking up all that blue.

Another favorite boutique of I mine I frequent is Cultivated. My friend and owner, Tiombe, hand-selects amazing gift ideas, entertaining goods, cocktail mixers, on-trend clothing, and so much more. I always seem to find something special and unique to take home with me when I stop by.
And yes, those are the same high rise slim fit jeans from Fidelity Denim that I wore in the first look above. They are just so flattering because of perfect pocket placement and super comfortable I find it hard to take them off. I paired the jeans with a ruffled blouse and a sandal and off I went.

What would a staycation be without a visit to a local winery? We are fortunate to have some amazing winegrowers in our area including Linganore Winery. Their selection of wines is impressive and they also have their own brewery onsite. There’s always some sort of festival or wedding or something going on there and it’s a great spot for live music, a food truck and a picnic.
My husband and I went there this past week on our date night. I tend to always wear a dress on these type of outings and this time was no different. This pretty flutter sleeve maxi dress is perfect to wear now and will be all the way right into early fall.
