Fall Fashion Rulebreaker
Today I saw green garland and red bows wrapped around light posts on main street of my town. Meanwhile, I’m still over here picking pumpkins. I’m not ready for sleigh bells and mistletoe yet… although I do love me some pie. But for real, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, don’t rush me lol.
Anyway, I’m getting messages asking, “Can I wear white this time of year?”… and my reply is, “Yes, especially ivory or winter white…” like this square neck balloon sleeve top from The Drop that I’m wearing… “, but make sure to pair it with heavier fabrics that are appropriate for the season”.
I’d also like to mention you can still wear crop jeans. I’m still coveting my Savannah high waist crop wide leg jeans by Modern American. They are perfect for showing off your ankle boots.
P.S. So many of the so-called seasonal fashion “rules”, like “don’t wear white after Labor Day”, can and should be broken. They’re total nonsense in many cases. As your favorite personal stylist I say throw caution to the wind and break the rules.
