Tuck to be Taller
Sometimes it’s the simplest thing that makes the difference. I am 5’3” and because of my height wide leg or bootcut style jeans can overwhelm me BUT I love them so. What I’ve found is that high-waist cuts work best for my short legs. That gives the illusion that my legs are longer. A low rise or mid rise can appear to cut me in half… not the most flattering proportion. I fell in love with the softness and stretch in these Mother fray hem bootcut jeans, but they are a mid rise… so do you see how the slightest tuck in the waistband shows more of my hip and lengthens me? That’s the most basic of styling tips that not everyone seems to know. Also, unless your legs go on for miles, you’re gonna need a heel too. Take the hem alllll the way to the floor and wear a shoe with an elongated toe, like a pointed toe. People think I’m much taller than I am… but it’s all in the styling.
