What to Wear On a Date – Two Easy On Trend Outfit Ideas

Going on a date? Whether the occasion is casual or dressy look your best in these easy to wear outfits 

I can always count on Anthropologie when I want something new and on trend to wear... especially when my husband and I are heading out on a date.

This past week we actually had time to sneak away from our busy schedules for two dates, a casual one and a dressy one too!

Two different types of dates meant I had to come up with two different looks to go with the vibe of the places we were going to.

Outfit #1: Casual Date

For my casual date outfit I chose this pretty embroidered blouse paired perfectly with my new bootcut dark wash jeans. I also wore a boot with the outfit, a pointed toe looks best and a heel makes us petite girls, I'm 5'3", look just a little leggier. Take the hem almost to the floor.

A word of caution when wearing dark denim like this... wash them separately and inside out for the first few washes. Also, avoid wearing a light-colored shoe as the dye could transfer to the shoe. With a dark blue like this I do prefer a gray, whiskey-toned or a dark brown bootie, just FYI.

Outfit #2: Dressy Date

A night out on the town calls for something dressy... and a little sexy. I found this plunging faux leather dress. Perfect for fine dining with the lights down low. I did a quick self-tan session, grabbed a favorite pair of heels and met him at the door. This dress was not just sexy, it was comfortable too. I’m wearing a 4, true to size. When it gets colder, I’ll add sheer black hosiery, fishnets or a sheer patterned tight. An ankle boot with a heel will work too.

Faux leather is a trend at the moment, but regardless of whether it's on trend or not, when done well it's always stylish.
