Just like your jeans, the denim midi skirt is such a versatile piece that you can really style it almost any way you like, dressed up or down, and look fabulous.
When styling a denim midi skirt, I’d say the toughest part is finding the right shoe, especially if you’re petite. Either leave a bit of space between the top of the shoe and the hem of the skirt or simply wear a knee boot, clean and sleek. One rule I insist on… you need a heel. Unless you have really long legs, a flat boot is a no-no. It doesn’t have to be a high heel but it must be SOME sort of heel or you run the risk of looking short and frumpy.
I also like to show off my waist/hips so I don’t look like one big block of denim. Tuck in or tie your shirt or wear a blazer/jacket/topper open with something tucked underneath.
With a little creativity, you can wear a denim midi skirt in endless ways. So get out there and experiment!
