3 Outfit Ideas From My Latest J.Crew Shopping Trip

Oh boy, oh boy! J Crew is having a great sale so I jumped in the car and went shopping so I can give you some real advice on what's worth your time and money! It's in the 60s right now where I live... so finding new spring-ready pieces at a discount... perfect timing.

This cotton fisherman sweater comes in 6 colors... I love the summer green!

I actually need a new raincoat so while this isn't the most fun thing I found, I'm pretty excited to find one I really want to wear. It comes in a few colors, but of course black is practical. It has drawstrings to give it a little shape and it's designed to be breathable. It runs big so I tried both small and xsmall and chose the xsmall. 

Green is allllll over New York Fashion week right now and this fisherman sweater is a timeless way to wear the color trend in a wardrobe basic. the true-to-size small is perfect. Retro sneakers like these by J Crew are really popular. I'll wear with jeans, chinos, and even casual dresses. I didn't try on these jeans but they get GREAT reviews and I love the wash.  

Love the ruffle cuffs on this long-sleeve button-up.

It's almost cropped pant season and I love mine wide-legged (balances my hips). The pockets on this pair flatter and the fabric is heavy enough not to cling. I tried my usual size 4 and they worked.  I wear a lot of stripes and this button-up with the ruffled sleeve is just a touch cute... not too prissy. The small I tried here is too big;  I'd recommend sizing down.

Slingbacks are a 2023 spring shoe trend and so classically feminine. I'd wear this pair with jeans too and a tee. Add a washed out denim jacket for that little bit of stylish 'edge". A straw bag is super versatile and a braided belt is a MUST in any woman's closet. 

The fit and feel of this fresco top is perfect.

This gauze fabric is everywhere right now. Pretty great that you don't have to iron it, am I right? This one has a great shape and comes in other beautiful colors. This is a small (perfect) and true to size. 

I'm always looking for denim alternatives, always looking for a great pair of chinos. Last year the J. Crew's styles were too slim for me, but this year they've introduced a relaxed fit. Bingo. I'm often a 26 or 27 and the 27 fit really well. I almost always roll the leg on my chinos, FYI, to show a little ankle or to show off a fab shoe. I'm adding a dash of leopard and a minimalist strappy milk chocolate sandal for a complete outfit.
